Police search for missing Philadelphia man

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are asking for the public's help in locating a missing man.

47-year-old Peter DeCosta was last seen Saturday at approximately 6:30 a.m at his residence on the 1900 block of S. 6th Street.

Peter is a client of Horizon House and is a member of their work program at 30th and Chestnut streets. Police say he is known to frequently wander away from home.

Peter is 6'2, 210 pounds, with a stocky build, dark brown eyes, dark complexion, and a short black afro.

He was last seen wearing black pants, black shirt, and black shoes.

Police say Peter always walks with his right arm out to his side and his head twisted to his left side; he suffers from a diminished cognitive deficiency.
