Large tree falls, strikes utility pole in Talleyville, Del.

TALLEYVILLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Crews were called to the scene after a large tree fell and struck a utility pole in Talleyville, Delaware.

The incident occurred around 6:30 Wednesday morning on Mt. Lebanon Road between Rockland and Sharpley Streets.

The tree snapped a utility pole and brought down wires which caused a power outage in parts of the area.

Delaware State police directed traffic through some major intersections during rush hour.

Delmarva Power arrived to make repairs.
