Man shot at apartment complex in Crescentville

CRESCENTVILLE (WPVI) -- A man was hospitalized in critical condition after a shooting at an apartment complex in Philadelphia's Crescentville section.

It happened around 9:50 p.m. Friday at the Hill Creek Apartments in the 500 block of Hill Creek Drive.

Officers arrived to find a 44-year-old male victim shot multiple times, including in the face.

He was rushed to Einstein Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say the shooting was sparked by an argument between the victim and another man.

They say, the suspect pulled out a black handgun and shot the victim several times.

Police took to the ground and the air, scouring behind the apartment complex for the suspect.

The suspect is described as a light skin black male. He is 6'0" tall and thin build.

The shooting is under investigation.
