Man shot dead in West Oak Lane

WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- A man in his 20s was shot and killed in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane section.

It happened around 4:10 p.m. Thursday in the 6700 block of North 17th Street.

The victim, a man in his mid-20s, was shot once. He was rushed to Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Police say more than one dozen shell casings were found at the scene.

No word on a motive or any possible suspects.
