Penn State University unveils new shield logo

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Penn State University has a new look. The university has unveiled its new so-called "shield logo."

It still features the Nittany Lion.

The previous design was made in the late 1980s and school officials said it was in need of an update.

Penn State officials also said the university needed one logo to unite various colleges and campuses.
