Missing 85-year-old Abington man found in creek bed

ABINGTON (WPVI) -- Police say an 85-year-old man is back with his family after disappearing from a long-term care facility in Abington Township.

85-year-old Charles Wilson, who suffers from dimentia, was reported missing from St. Joseph's Manor on the 1600 block of Huntington Pike at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

On Friday police said Wilson was located in a creek bed in the yard of a home in the 700 block of Moredon Road by members of his family that were participating in the search.

The location of the creek bed is approximately a quarter mile from St. Joseph's Manor where he was last seen.

Wilson had no signs of trauma and was able to communicate when he was found.

He was transported to Holy Redeemer Hospital to be checked out.
