Scene cleared after gas line hit near NE Philly medical building

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The scene has been cleared after a gas line was hit near a medical building in Northeast Philadelphia.

The incident happened early Thursday afternoon near Nazareth Hospital.

Investigators say a crew working in the area struck a gas line in the area of Fairfield and Holme Ave.

The building had been evacuated as a precaution.

However, PGW said no gas readings were detected in the area.

No injuries were reported and no service was disrupted.
