Suspect wanted in bank robbery in Bear, Delaware

BEAR, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery in Bear, Delaware.

It happened Monday around 11:25 a.m. at the M&T Bank in the Fox Run Shopping Center.

Police said a male suspect entered the bank, and proceeded to present a female bank teller with a note demanding cash.

No weapons were displayed or implied during the robbery, police said.

The suspect fled the bank in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of money leaving a backpack behind.

Following an evacuation of the bank, police determined the backpack posed no danger.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a white male, 35-40 years of age, 6 foot 0-2 inches tall, wearing a red and grey stripped shirt, shorts and sneakers.
