PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Jewish activists in Philadelphia are waging a protest against some controversial ads now running on SEPTA buses that criticize Hamas and Islam.

The ads read: "Jew Hatred: it's in the Quran"' and feature a picture of Adolf Hitler with a former Palestinian leader.

The American Freedom Defense Initiative paid to have the ads on 84 buses.

The activists, led by a local rabbi, are pasting black and yellow stickers on the ads calling them hate speech.

SEPTA will remove all of the bus ads by Monday at the conclusion of a month-long ad contract.
