American Airlines flight returns to Philly after mechanical issues found

An American Airlines flight that originated out of Philadelphia and bound for Frankfurt, Germany, is returning due to mechanical concerns.

Flight #750 departed Philadelphia shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday, and is expected to return shortly after 1 a.m.

Airline officials say a flight emergency has not been declared but the measure is being taking out of an abundance of caution.

Arrangements will be made to ensure safe travel for the 241-passengers and a crew of 12 to head to Germany shortly after their safe return.
