Armed man, child accomplice sought in Pizza Hut robbery in California

PLACENTIA, Calif. (WPVI) -- A search is underway for two suspects who robbed a Pizza Hut in Placentia, California - and one of the suspects could be as young as 12 years old.

According to police, a man with a handgun jumped the counter of the restaurant in the 900 block of East Yorba Linda Boulevard at around 11 p.m. Tuesday and demanded cash. The man then took off.

No injuries were reported.

A customer told police that a child stood in the doorway and held the door open for the gunman.

The two got away with about $100. They were seen running westbound toward McCormack Lane.

The child was described as an African-American male, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds and wearing a baseball cap and a shirt with red writing on it.

The adult suspect was described as an African-American male, approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 180 pounds and wearing a bandana across his face.

The incident was under investigation.
