Armed man robs Rita's Water Ice in Talleyville

TALLEYVILLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Troopers are investigating a robbery of a Talleyville area Rita's Water Ice.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m. Saturday at the Rita's located at 2909 Concord Pike.

Police say a male suspect armed with a handgun confronted two female employees at the sales window.

The suspect demanded the cash from the register.

The employees complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect then fled the area after entering a grey vehicle.

No injuries were reported.
