Surveillance released in Lawndale bar shooting

VIDEO: Bar worker shot in the leg in Lawndale
Police say a cook at a bar was shot in the leg in the Philadelphia's Lawndale section early Friday morning.

LAWNDALE (WPVI) -- Police have released surveillance footage of 2 suspects wanted for shooting an employee at a bar in Philadelphia's Lawndale neighborhood.

It happened at 2 a.m. Friday morning outside the Rendezvous Club located at 6328 Rising Sun Avenue.

The victim told police a crowd of patrons had just left the bar when he heard someone yell "don't shoot."

He then heard a shot fired and suffered a gunshot wound to the leg.

The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The victim was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center in stable condition and was later released.

Police describe the suspects as:

Suspect #1: Black male, 20 years old, wearing a blue shirt, green shorts, blue shoes and armed with a handgun.

Suspect #2: Black male, 20 years old, wearing a blue shirt, jean shorts. The suspect returned wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue pants.
