Heavy flames destroyed a house, leaving only a charred frame in Southampton Township, New Jersey early Friday morning.

SOUTHAMPTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Heavy flames destroyed a house, leaving only a charred frame in Southampton Township, New Jersey early Friday morning.

The fire started around midnight on the unit block of Scarborough Way in the Leisure Town 55 plus community.

The fire quickly went to two alarms after firefighters arrived.

The heavy flames caused the roof to collapse.

One resident was in the house, but was able to get out safely.

It took fire crews forty-five minutes to place the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
