Rescue crews have recovered the body of a teenager who drowned in Monroe Township, Gloucester County.

MONROE TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Rescue crews have recovered the body of a teenager who drowned in Monroe Township, Gloucester County.

The Monroe Township Police Department identify the victim as 17-year-old Darius Boyer, a student at Williamstown High School.

The swimmer went missing after 4:00 p.m. Wednesday in a lake along the 4600 block of Jackson Road. It is located on the State Fish and Wildlife Management area property.

Officials say Boyer was swimming with three other people when he went under and did not resurface.

Boyer's body was recovered at approximately 1:00 p.m. Thursday.

Police say there is no indication of foul play in his drowning.
