Buena teacher accused of having sex with student

BUENA, N.J. (WPVI) -- A teacher is under arrest and facing charges that he had a sexual relationship with a student at Buena Regional High School.

32-year-old William Jacobs was allegedly involved with a 17-year-old.

Detectives say the relationship started in November and went until last month.

When Jacobs got word of the investigation, he allegedly told the victim not to cooperate with police.

Investigators traced him to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he was arrested Tuesday morning.

Jacobs is being held there, waiting on extradition to New Jersey.
