Burglar steals $2K from food market in North Philadelphia

Police are looking for a burglar who bring into a food market in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for a burglar who broke into a food market in North Philadelphia.

It happened at 3:10 a m. on June 12 inside the Carolina Market located on the 2600 block of West Lehigh Avenue.

Police say the suspect pulled out an air conditioning unit and climbed into the store through the window.

Once inside, cameras caught the burglar taking 10 cartons of cigarettes and $2,000 cash from behind the counter.

The man then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as a 30 to 40-year-old male of unknown race with a medium build. He was wearing dark-rimmed glasses, a light colored tank top and baggy pants.
