Burglars target rec center in North Philadelphia

Philadelphia police are searching for a trio of burglars who broke into the McVeigh recreation center in North Philadelphia on July 17.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a trio of burglars who broke into a recreation center in North Philadelphia.

It happened early Sunday morning at the McVeigh Recreation Center on the 400 block of Ontario Street.

Surveillance video shows three unknown men breaking into the rec center around 7:30 a m.

Police believe the suspects used a set of keys that had gone missing the day before.

Once inside, the burglars stole a 35" flat screen TV and a radio before fleeing in an unknown direction.
