Authorities have arrested five people in connection to an armed robbery at Caesars Atlantic City Hotel and Casino.

ATLANTIC CITY (WPVI) -- Authorities have arrested five people in connection to an armed robbery at Caesars Atlantic City Hotel and Casino.

The robbery took place around 6:20 a.m. on Monday, July 21st.

Investigators announced the arrests of 23-year-old Aaron Evans, 20-year-old Dwayne Morgan, 19-year-old Izyiah Plummer, 19-year-old Monique Kelly and 20-year-old Lance Rogers.

According to police, two armed men wearing masks and gloves got away with two boxes full of money from inside the casino.

Initial reports were that about $180,000 was taken but the exact amount of money is unclear.

All five suspects were arrested at various locations. Police say a large portion of money was found along with clothing believed to have been worn during the robbery.

The suspects face a range of charges including robbery, aggravated assault and related offenses.

The incident remains under investigation.
