Philadelphia police are investigating a crash in East Mount Airy that left two people injured and five cars damaged.

EAST MOUNT AIRY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a crash in East Mount Airy that left two people injured and five cars damaged.

The crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Washington Lane.

Police say the driver of a Kia struck a Chevrolet Malibu trapping a 66-year-old passenger inside.

The impact of the crash then sent the Kia careening into two parked cars.

Police say the Chevrolet Malibu then jumped a curb and went through the parking lot of a local convenience store crashing into a parked SUV.

A female passenger inside the SUV suffered minor injuries.

Both victims were taken to Einstein Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries.
