A store clerk in England suffered minor injuries during an attempted robbery when he fought off his machete-wielding attacker with a small pole.
The 63-year-old clerk was behind the counter when the would-be robber entered the store and approached the counter, armed with a 3-foot machete.
Surveillance video shows the clerk reach underneath the counter and pull out a small pole.
He then can be seen fighting off the robber and begins swinging the pole.
The clerk suffered a cut to his hand and lost a finger.
The robber fled the scene empty-handed.
