Clerk injured during gas station robbery in Delaware

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a suspect who assaulted a clerk during a gas station robbery in New Castle, Delaware.

It happened just before 9:00 a.m. at the BP station on the 600 block of North Dupont Highway.

Investigators say the gas station attendant was hit on the head with an object, which may have been a flashlight.

The robber fled the scene with an unknown amount of cash.

No arrests have been made.
