ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A convicted rapist is facing charges for allegedly stalking an Allentown boy.

Police say 73-year-old Clyde Ruppel approached the boy two years ago, when he was just 11.

Despite warnings from the child's father to stay away, Ruppel moved in next to the boy's family.

Court documents say he watched the child play outside, and left love letters and rose petals on the windshield of his dad's car.

Ruppel remains in jail today on stalking charges.
