Counterfeit money, shotgun stolen from Kensington business

Philadelphia police are searching for a burglar who broke into a check cashing business in the city's Kensington section.

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for a burglar who broke into a check cashing business in the city's Kensington section early Monday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. at Bob's Check Cashing on the 2700 block of Kensington Avenue.

Police say the burglar broke through the roof and climbed into the business through a utility closet.

Once inside he stole an unknown amount of counterfeit money that the business had collected over the years, along with a 12 gauge shotgun with a pistol grip.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male with a thin build. He was wearing a white and black striped hooded sweatshirt, burgundy sweatpants and black and white sneakers.
