CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A teenage father was shot to death in his own neighborhood, and his family is hoping you can help solve his murder.

The tears flow freely when Adrianna Molina talks about her 19-year-old son, Luis Miranda.

Speaking through a translator, the grieving mother said she still can't believe her son is gone.

"Everything has been really tough," she said. "It's not the same."

Just after 1:00 p.m. on January 16, police were called to the 700 block of Bailey Street in Camden for reports of a gunshot victim.

When they arrived, they found Miranda shot multiple times. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

"The motive behind it is unclear right now," said Detective Anthony Roccia from Camden Co. Prosecutor's Office.

"People don't want to talk," said Molina. "They saw, but they don't want to talk."

Detectives say even though it was cold that day, someone had to have seen something.

"There were a lot of people out that day," said Roccia. "We feel that there is a lot of people out there that saw what happened."

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Just call 215-546-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.

Luis Miranda leaves behind a 3-year-old daughter and a baby on the way.

Molina says her granddaughter is taking his loss very hard.

"His little girl every day is asking for him," she said. "She misses her dad."
