The Montco DA said a man who was being investigated for allegedly using a hidden camera to record kids in the bathroom is also charged with sex abuse.

LIMERICK Twp., Pa. (WPVI) -- The Montgomery County District Attorney's office said a man who was being investigated for allegedly using a hidden camera to record people, including children, in the bathroom is also charged with sexual abuse of a child.

Kevin Rebbie of Limerick Township is facing a number of charges following an investigation that began in early March.

Investigators say they were contacted by a 15-year-old girl who found the camera in the bathroom of her home. She discovered it under the sink while she was cleaning, the D.A. said.

During the investigation, authorities say they found dozens of videos recorded over a three to four year period showing the girl, another juvenile, and other people using the bathroom or showering.

Rebbie would upload the videos to his computer and other devices, according to investigators.

"A camera being put in a home or a private place, that's disturbing in and of itself. The idea it would be put in a bathroom where people would expect they have a private moment there is particularly troublesome," said D.A. Risa Vetri Ferman.

Investigators say they also discovered Rebbie had previously deleted more than three dozen videos. However, Homeland Security investigators were called on to recover the files. Many of them also showed victims in the bathroom, the D.A.'s office said.

After Rebbie's arrest, investigators say the 15-year-old victim alleged Rebbie would sexually abuse her when she was between the ages of nine and 13.

"After the first arrest, she found the ability to speak up about what had happened to her," Ferman said.

Rebbie was charged with more than a half dozen offenses including sex assault and creation and possession of child pornography.

He is behind bars on $500,000 cash bail.

Ferman said there may be more victims out there. If you think you've been victimized, contact the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.
