ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A 15-year-old boy has admitted sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl in the basement of Dieruff High School in Allentown, the Lehigh County District Attorney says.

The teen is not being identified because of his age.

The teen was charged back on May 18th after the victim reported the crime.

A disposition hearing (similar to a sentencing hearing in adult court) will be held at a later date.

The victim's family agreed with the outcome, the DA's office said.

The incident apparently took place in the basement, which students say it is under the school's gym and contains a weight training facility.

Action News has learned the 16-year-old victim knew her attacker. Both are said to be students at the school.

Surveillance video shows girl and boy entering a room in the basement and then coming out. There is now word on how long they were in there.
