The Delaware attorney general's office finds a shooting by two Wilmington police officers was justified.

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- The Delaware attorney general's office says a shooting involving Wilmington police officers was justified.

The report released on Monday says that Officers Sean Nolan and Gaetan MacNamara believed their lives were in danger when they shot 24-year-old Marvin Jones during a traffic stop on January 15, 2015.

The officers say Jones, a Georgia resident, tried to flee when they asked him to get out of the car.

The report says Nolan, MacNamara and a third officer scuffled with Jones.

That is when the officers say Jones pulled out a gun and pointed it at Nolan.

Nolan fired at Jones three times, and MacNamara fired once.

Jones is now a quadriplegic as a result of his injuries.

The Delaware attorney generals office concludes that the incident described by officers and witnesses is consistent with what is seen on surveillance video.
