Drunk driver in custody after police chase in Spring Garden

SPRING GARDEN (WPVI) -- A man was taken into custody for DUI after a police chase in Philadelphia's Spring Garden section.

It happened just before 8 p.m. Thursday in the area of 19th and Spring Garden streets.

Authorities say the drunk driver was going the wrong way on a one-way street.

Officers say they had to smash out his window to stop him.

The man was taken into custody on DUI.

No injuries were reported.
