East Lansdowne man arrested on child porn charges

EAST LANSDOWNE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Authorities in Delaware County have arrested a man on child pornography charges.

30-year-old Edward Curran of East Lansdowne, surrendered to authorities at the Criminal Investigation Division headquarters on Tuesday.

Curran is charged with 25 counts of sexual abuse of children and the criminal use of a communications facility, both felonies of the third degree.

His bail was set at 10 percent of $100,000.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 13.

The peer-to-peer investigation was conducted by Delaware County Detective Ken Bellis and Detective Joe Walsh, of the Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC), with assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police and FBI.
