Fatal crash involving SUV, truck on Route 322 in Delaware County

UPPER CHICHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a deadly crash involving an SUV and a car carrier truck on Route 322 in Upper Chichester, Pa.

It happened after 5 a.m. Thursday in the eastbound lanes approaching I-95.

February 16, 2017: A deadly crash involving an SUV and a car carrier truck shut down part of Route 322 East in Upper Chichester, Pa.

Video from Chopper 6 HD showed a car carrier truck which appeared to have jackknifed across both eastbound lanes of Route 322 and struck the concrete median, partially breaking through it.

A dark colored SUV appeared to be crushed between the cab and trailer portion of the car carrier.

Action News is told one person was killed. No further details have been released.
