Father accused of murdering infant son in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A North Philadelphia father is behind bars, accused of murdering his infant son last week.

Police were called to Javine Baratt's home on the 2400 block of North 5th Street last Monday.

That's where they found Baratt's 3-month-old son, Javine Barratt Jr., unconscious in a bedroom.

Though the baby was initially revived, he died last Thursday.

The cause of death was head trauma, leading to 23-year-old Barratt's arrest Tuesday.

He's been charged with murder and endangering the welfare of a child.
