Father, son killed in house fire in Lower Macungie Township

Lehigh County authorities are investigating a fire that left a father and his son dead in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania.

MACUNGIE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Lehigh County authorities are investigating a fire that left a father and his son dead in Lower Macungie Township, Pennsylvania.

The fire broke out around 6:10 a.m. Thursday in the 7000 block of Myrtle Drive.

Upon arrival, officials said the house was fully engulfed in flames.

Fifty-five-year-old Douglas A. Jackson Jr. was pronounced dead on the scene at 9:51 a.m. and 21-year-old Douglas Jackson III was pronounced dead at 10:09.

An autopsy will be performed Friday to determine the cause of death for both victims.

Two more unidentified people in the residence escaped the fire.
