Fire damages tanning salon, apartments in Clifton Heights

CLIFTON HEIGHTS, Pa. (WPVI) -- Fire badly damaged a Delaware County business and several apartments above it early Monday.

The Action Cam was in the 400 block of North Springfield Road in Clifton Heights.

Fire officials say flames broke out before 2:00 a.m. Monday in a tanning salon on the first floor and quickly spread to apartments on the upper floors.

The blaze forced a number of residents from their homes.

The American Red Cross of Southeastern Pa. told Action News it is helping a family of five with food, clothing, and lodging.

There were no reports of injuries.

The cause is under investigation.
