Firefighter injured in 3 building blaze in SW Philadelphia

A firefighter was injured in a blaze that damaged three store buildings in Southwest Philadelphia.

The fire broke out around 12:15 a.m. on the 6400 block of Woodland Avenue.

Crews arrived to smoke and flames showing throughout the buildings.

The injured firefighter was taken to Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital for smoke inhalation in stable condition.

Officials say they located the fire in a store that spread to neighboring properties.

All the buildings were believed to be empty.

So far, there is no word on what sparked the blaze.
