NAZARETH, Pa. (WPVI) -- Several schools in the Lehigh Valley were placed on lockdown Tuesday morning due to a suspicious former employee.

Officials say a man, fired from the Nazareth Area School District Friday, showed up in the parking lot of Nazareth Area Middle School around 6 a.m.

But when security went to talk to him, the man was gone.

As a precaution, students at that school, along with others on the same campus, were either locked in their classrooms or buildings.

The former employee was found and taken into custody around 9 a.m.

At last check, no charges had been filed.
