OCEAN CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- A Gloucester County woman was the toast of the Garden State Saturday night after walking home with the crown at the Miss New Jersey pageant.

Breanna Weick, 22, of Mantua beat out 29 other women for the title.

Weick is a graduate of High Point University.

Her big win was announced by our very own Karen Rogers, who hosted this year's pageant.

Weick will go on to represent New Jersey in the Miss America pageant in September.

The night was not without its serious moments.

The audience and the contestants paused to remember Cara McCollum, a former Miss New Jersey.

McCollum died earlier this year after a serious car crash.

A scholarship was awarded in her honor.
