Gunman sought after robbing Hunting Park bank

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for a gunman who robbed a Hunting Park bank Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the PNC bank on Broad Street and Allegheny Avenue.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. Displaying a silver semi-automatic handgun, he demanded money.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area of the bank.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'6"-5'9" tall, heavy build, with a beard and mustache. He wore a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and another white t-shirt over his head.

He had a small band-aid on the left side of his forehead, just above the brow.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous.
