Gunman sought after robbing Hunting Park bank

Philadelphia police are looking for a gunman who robbed a Hunting Park bank Wednesday afternoon.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. at the PNC bank on Broad Street and Allegheny Avenue.

Police say the suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. Displaying a silver semi-automatic handgun, he demanded money.

After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled the area of the bank.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5'6"-5'9" tall, heavy build, with a beard and mustache. He wore a white t-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers, and another white t-shirt over his head.

He had a small band-aid on the left side of his forehead, just above the brow.

This subject is considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information about this robbery or this suspect is urged to call the FBI at 215-418-4000 or the Philadelphia Police Department. There may be a reward for information leading to his capture; tipsters can remain anonymous.
