LOS ANGELES, Calif. (WPVI) -- A homeless man in Southern California is gaining attention for this sidewalk sanctuary.

Ceola Waddell, Jr. set up a kitchen, living room, and a bathroom under the 110 freeway in Los Angeles.

The 58-year old even rents out his space on the sidewalk for 25 dollars a week.

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority says it has offered Waddell temporary housing, but he turned that down.

Waddell says he is making ends meet through donations and hopes to find more permanent housing.
