Man, 27, shot in leg in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHLADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting in South Philadelphia that sent a man to the hospital.

Shots rang out around 9:25 p.m. Wednesday near Passyunk Avenue and South Opal Street.

A 27-year-old man was hit twice in the leg.

He was driven to Methodist Hospital and then transferred to Jefferson University Hospital.

At this time, there's no word on the suspect or a motive.

Police believe the shooting may have been captured by surveillance cameras.
