Man charged in 2 lewd acts involving little girls

TOMS RIVER, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police in Toms River, New Jersey say a 73-year-old man is facing charges after two alleged lewd acts involving little girls.

Gustavo Miranda from Buena Vista Drive in the Holiday City section of Berkley Township was initially arrested on November 18, 2014 after allegedly exposing his genitals to an 8-year-old girl in a Dollar Tree store.

He was charged with Sexual Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Lewdness and released on $75,000 bail.

A subsequent investigation linked Miranda to another incident at the Ocean County Mall.

Police say on September 11, 2014, a 31-year-old woman and her 8-year-old daughter were walking in the parking lot near Boscov's when they say they saw Miranda seated in his vehicle watching them while masturbating.

After linking Miranda to the mall incident police filed additional charges for Sexual Assault, Endangering the welfare of the Child, and Lewdness.

Miranda surrendered himself on November 25, 2014 and was released on an additional bail of $100,000.
