Man critically injured in Kingsessing stabbing; suspect in custody

KINGSESSING (WPVI) -- A man was critically injured in a stabbing in the Kingsessing section of Philadelphia.

It happened just before 6:30 p.m. Sunday at 52nd Street and Kingsessing Avenue.

Police say the victim, believed to be about 50 years old, was stabbed in the stomach.

He was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in critical condition.

Police say a suspect is in custody. No charges have been filed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
