Man in custody after fatal shooting in Germantown

A 29-year-old man is in police custody in connection with a murder in Germantown.

A 29-year-old man is in police custody in connection with a murder in Germantown.

The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of East Wister Street.

Police said a 19-year-old man was shot once in the chest.

He was rushed to Einstein Medical Center and pronounced dead on arrival.

The suspect was arrested after checking himself into the same hospital for a bullet wound to his rib cage.
