NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a driver suspected of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is facing charges after a man was struck and killed in Northeast Philadelphia.
It happened after 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the 7500 block of Roosevelt Boulevard.
Police say the victim, believed to be 60-70 years old, was hit in the southbound inner lanes of the boulevard.
The driver did stop.
He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after police questioned him, and is expected to be charged.
The victim's name has not been released.
