Man, mother escape fire in Wynnefield home

WYNNEFIELD (WPVI) -- A man and his mother managed to escape a burning home in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia.

The fire erupted around 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 5600 block of Wyndale Avenue.

Neither the man nor his mother were hurt. They are being helped by the Red Cross.

The fire was extinguished in about 20 minutes.

There was no word on a cause.
