Firefighters rescue man from muddy marsh in Gloucester County

Firefighters had to rescue a man from a muddy marsh in Mantua Township, Gloucester County.

MANTUA TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Firefighters had to rescue a man from a muddy marsh in Mantua Township, Gloucester County.

Crews were called to Linden Avenue and Twin Lakes Drive Sunday night.

Officials say a man became stuck in the mud up to his waist after walking into the muddy marsh.

Firefighters were able to pull the man from the mud.

He's being evaluated by medics for any injuries and possible hypothermia.

The victim was stuck in the mud for nearly a half hour.
