Man robbed, shot while visiting memorial for friend in Camden

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A man visiting a memorial for a friend was robbed and shot in Camden late Saturday.

The memorial sits near the intersection of 31st and Lemuel Streets.

It honors a man who died last week in a motorcycle crash.

Police say two men were at the memorial at 11:15 p.m. Saturday when they were approached by two other men.

The robbers, wearing dark clothing and ski masks, ordered the men to the ground and demanded their money and jewelry.

One 31-year-old man was shot during the robbery.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital in stable condition.

Police are looking for the robbers.
