Man shot, critically wounded in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting in North Philadelphia that left a man critically wounded.

It happened after 12 p.m. Friday near the intersection of 6th and Butler streets.

Officers arrived to find a 31-year-old man with gunshot wounds to the check, neck and left shoulder.

He was taken by a private vehicle to Temple University Hospital and admitted in critical condition.

Police are working to determine what led to the gunfire and who was responsible.
