Man shot execution-style in Kensington ID'd

KENSINGTON -- Police have identified the man shot execution style in Philadelphia's Kensington section early Monday morning.

Marquise Matthews, 19, was shot around 12:11 a.m. in the 2900 block of Rosehill Street.

Officers found Matthews lying on the road with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was shot at blank point range, police say.

They also found six shell casings on the ground.

Medics pronounced Mattnews dead at the scene.

Investigators were checking the area surveillance cameras.
