Michigan girl saves family after scare behind the wheel

SOUTHFIELD, Mi. (WPVI) -- A ten-year-old girl from Michigan saved her entire family when a car ride with her mom turned terrifying.

Police in Southfield say Anylah Thompson was in the car with her two younger brothers, when her mother, who was at the wheel, lost consciousness.

Anylah took control of the car, steering it to the side of the road.

"My mom was driving and then she had a seizure so I stopped the car and called my daddy and he told me to call 911," she said.

The mother was taken to the hospital.

Doctors expect her to be okay.
